Coty's Fourth-Quarter Test: Does Middle East Disruption Fade or Linger Into FY27?

Coty walks into its August 19 report carrying a turnaround story that sounded confident three quarters ago and now sounds a lot more cautious. That shift in tone matters more than the headline numbers this time around. Wall Street expects a small loss of a penny per share, an 80% year-over-year improvement from the $0.03 loss posted a year earlier, on revenue of $1.19 billion, which would represent a 5% decline from the same period last year. The revenue contraction is the more important figure to watch because it directly tests whether management's deliberate sell-in pullback and Middle East disruption are behaving as described or turning into something more persistent.

Management's full-year guidance of $0.33 to $0.35 in non-GAAP earnings per share sits above the current annual consensus of $0.27, which tells you the Street has not fully bought into the top end of that range.
