S&P Global Beat Expectations, Revises Guidance

S&P Global (SPGI) reported earnings of $5.31 per share on revenue of $3.68 billion for the second quarter ended June 2026. The consensus earnings estimate was $4.97 per share on revenue of $3.65 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $5.10 per share. The company beat expectations by 4.12% while revenue fell 2.05% compared to the same quarter a year ago.

The company said in its full earnings release that with the divestiture of its Mobility division, it now expects 2026 earnings of $17.50 to $17.75 per share on revenue of $16.24 billion to $16.55 billion. The company's previous guidance was earnings of $19.40 to $19.65 per share on revenue of $16.30 billion to $16.61 billion, and the current consensus earnings estimate is $18.37 per share on revenue of $15.56 billion for the year ending December 31, 2026.
