U.S. Bancorp Beat Expectations, Raises Guidance, but Remains In-line with Estimates

U.S. Bancorp (USB) reported earnings of $1.35 per share on revenue of $10.92 billion for the second quarter ended June 2026. The consensus earnings estimate was $1.28 per share on revenue of $7.62 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $1.31 per share. The company beat expectations by 3.05% while revenue grew 3.75% on a year-over-year basis.

The company said in its earnings presentation it expects third quarter revenue of $7.876 billion to $8.023 billion and now expects 2026 revenue of $30.14 billion to $30.71 billion, excluding BTIG. The company's previous guidance was 2026 revenue of $29.85 billion to $30.42 billion. The current consensus revenue estimate is $7.85 billion for the quarter ending September 30, 2026 and revenue of $30.65 billion for the year ending December 31, 2026.

U.S. Bancorp, with nearly 70,000 employees and $554 billion in assets as of December 31, 2020, is the parent company of U.S. Bank National Association, the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States.
