U.S. Bancorp Missed Expectations, Sees Revenue Below Estimates

U.S. Bancorp (USB) reported earnings of $1.34 per share on revenue of $11.25 billion for the third quarter ended September 2026. The consensus earnings estimate was $1.32 per share. The Earnings Whisper number was $1.36 per share. The company missed expectations by 1.47% while revenue grew 2.26% on a year-over-year basis.

The company said in its earnings presentation it expects fourth quarter net revenue of $8.02 billion to $8.09 billion. The current consensus revenue estimate is $8.11 billion for the quarter ending December 31, 2026.

U.S. Bancorp, with nearly 70,000 employees and $554 billion in assets as of December 31, 2020, is the parent company of U.S. Bank National Association, the fifth-largest commercial bank in the United States.
