Walmart Reported In-line with Expectations, Reaffirms Below Estimates

Walmart (WMT) reported earnings of $0.66 per share on revenue of $177.75 billion for the fiscal first quarter ended April 2026. The consensus earnings estimate was $0.65 per share on revenue of $174.06 billion. The Earnings Whisper number was $0.66 per share. The company reported in-line with expectations while revenue grew 7.33% on a year-over-year basis.

The company said it expects second quarter earnings of $0.72 to $0.74 per share on revenue of $184.50 billion to $186.27 billion. The current consensus earnings estimate is $0.75 per share on revenue of $185.60 billion for the quarter ending July 31, 2026. The company also said it continues to expect fiscal 2027 earnings of $2.75 to $2.85 per share on revenue of $731.12 billion to $738.19 billion. The current consensus earnings estimate is $2.89 per share on revenue of $748.72 billion for the year ending January 31, 2027.
