Its short line freight railroads provide transportation services for both online customers and Class I railroads that interchange with its rail lines. The Company's operation consists of one business segment, North American rail transportation. The North American rail transportation segment includes the operations of the Company's railroad subsidiaries in the United States and Canada. These properties are located in the southeastern, southwestern, midwestern, the Great Lakes, New England, and Pacific Coast regions of the United States.
